Left 2 Die

Jake just simply there listening for any sounds that came of the silence.

Ever since the infection started sleep hadn't come to him very easily, most of the time all he could do was lay there and hope that a zombie didn't get him as he lay there.

He might not of liked his dad much, but the way that that lump of flesh crumpled as he drove a 50-caliber bullet through his skull, and the crunching of bone under it haunted him to no end. Then as he left the home that he had grown up in, he saw his friends were infected and coming for him... He sniffed slightly as a tear wound it's way down his cheek. He fought with those memories as they threatened to throw him down into a crying fit, the third since D-day...

Jake was the first to rise. Automatically, he began his morning ritual of making sure that his guns were in proper working order. Looking around at the others, he tried to wake them. Being unsuccessful, he drew one of his pistols and loosed a shot into the ceiling, the bang loud in the confined space.

((A little powerplay, but I think it's reasonable.))

Kyo literally hit the ceiling when he heard a crack-stick(Gun)

Walking over to Kyo, he put his hand on Kyo's head and held out a piece of bread, "Sorry Kyo."

"Jaack hunt Bompa?" Kyo asked

Till shot up to a seated position, his tendril already out and his left hand on his pistol. "Wha-whuddeh-huh?" he yelled loudly, still reacting to the pistol bullet.

Though muted, he could hear the grumbling noises of more than a few of the infected outside the building. "Oh lord...why?" Almost immediately, he got out of the makeshift bed, grabbing a small pack and slinging over his back. "We've got three minutes at most before those morons find out about those broken windows!"

"Later Kyo."

Jake looked over to Till, "Alright, let's go." He said as he grabbed his pack.

((We'll have to wait for the others.))

Sam screeched, and shot up out of bed, her gun out, ready to shoot. "What the?" She asked, stunned. Hearing Till's exclamation, she swore. Today was not turning into a good day.

"Sorry guys for the rude wake up call, but we need to vacate now." His voice conveying Till's urgency, his hand already on the door handle.

Kyo shook his head, trying to shoo the grogginess away, and crouched by the door. Whatever was out there, he would be ready to fight through.

(('Hunt' is a multi-purpose word for Kyo. It means hunt, hurt, kill, etc. When he said 'Jaack hunt Bompa?' he was asking if that was why Jake shot his gun))

Tim ran over to the hole that the other's were in and shouted down "Windows are kinda not working' anymore! Git up here and help me!". Timothy ran back to the window near his bed to grab his Bowie knife. Just as he reaches the knife, an undead attacks him. "I SAID HELP YOU FREAKIN' LAZY ASS BASTARDS!" Tim yelled as he resisted the zombie, slowly trying to reach for his knife...

Kyo, hearing non-infected sounds(He doesn't understand a word Tim is saying), scratched at the door impatiently. It frustrated him that he could not move the metal thing as easy as fleshies could.

Till grumbled, opening the large metal door and stepping out into the small hallway. Almost immediately, he started to climb the ladder.

Getting to the main room, he looked out through the windows, and almost immediately regretted it. Several of the Crazed Ones were clambering through the windows, with many more behind them looking curious as to what was happening inside the restaurant. Noticing the newcomer on the table beneath a Crazed One, he used his tendril to grab the knife near Tim, then nudged it into the male's reach, immediately retracting the tendril afterwards. He was in no mood to shed more blood, and hoped that the man could manage the knife now that it was easier for him to grab. Till snarled quietly, running over to the other side of the building, remembering the location of yet another ladder. "Through the fire escape!" he called out, hoping everyone could hear him.

The infected male looked up to the red frame, it's many bars parallel to the floor would lead him to the room. He immediately started climbing when a Crazed One grabbed his leg. Kicking back at it, he continued trying to climb up, feeling a few of the infected's claws ripping into his leg. Crying out in pain, he yelled, "Get this thing off of me!"

(Selfish asshole gets slapped across the face by Karma, then starts asking for help. Sorry, it fits his character and would work well for group character development)

Jake flew up the ladder, and immediately pulled the rifle from his back and began firing into the horde, yelling over the fire, "WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE!"

Hearing Till's cry, he cursed, and ran towards him while blindly firing behind him, getting to him, Jake pulled out his pistol and buried a slug in the skull of the zombie, "KYO!" He bellowed, hoping that the hunter would hear him.

Kyo followed closely. Slashing at any infected that dared get too close. In frustration, Kyo let out a terrifying screech.

Till looked down just in time to see the Crazed One have it's head shoot forward into the ladder from the bullet. With a shudder, he kicked the limp arm off his leg, climbing swiftly up the metal frame.

Getting to the roof was easy, but looking down to the ground over the edge of the building he realized that getting *out* wouldn't be as simple. Looking over to the side, he saw the rooftops of several close-by buildings. Thinking that if he were as adept as a Pouncing One, which he wasn't, he might be able to reach the church in the distance. Some of the buildings were barely a few feet across from each other, but he saw at least one on the way that was a good 10 feet distance between them. Looking to his tendril, he was sure he'd find a way across them, but he wondered how the others would be able to follow him. Turning back to the ladder, he looked to see if anyone else had made it up yet.

(My way of trying to get the group to the church: 'The Floor is Lava' with infected XD)

Sam ran out of the room, and went to the ladder. Firing, her pistol clicked. "Shit, out of ammo." She muttered, as she put it away, and hastily climbed the ladder. Getting to the roof, she waited for everyone else to join her, and Till.

Kyo clamored awkwardly up the wood steps(ladder) and grumbled when he saw the flood of infected down below

Spotting Kyo, he bellowed as he let off a few shots into the crowd of infected hoping to thin them out a bit, "KYO! OVER HERE!"

Kyo ran over to Jack and let out yet another terrifying screech, causing the infected to stumble back in fear.

Jake smiled, "Good Kyo. Come on."

Grabbing the hunter by the back of his hoodie, he awkwardly tried to give him a boost up the ladder while trying to keep the zombies back.

Till looked to the neighbouring buildings, then back to the group. "We need to head for the church! Fall down, though, and you're screwed!"

Kyo awkwardly clamored up the wood steps again and, listening to Tipp, headed for the thick walled place. His sanctuary.

Till awkwardly jumped from the roof of the restaurant over just a foot or two to the next building, a rival restaurant that had sold all manner of pasta before the infection hit. Turning back, he looked to see who else was coming.

Tim grabbed the bowie knife from where the guy (what he thought) kicked over to him. Tim let out a little cheer when he felt the handle, and quickly grasped it. He then proceeded to repeatedly stab the undead on top of him until the body went limp over him. Tim then shoved the body to his side and tried to get tohis feet, muttering "I didn't ask for a wake up call..."

Tim spied the group climbin the ladder, and decided that it would be best to follow them, considering that staying would result in him becoming a manwich.

Jake quickly climbed the ladder after Tim. Reaching the top, he quickly closed the hatch over the ladder, "We don't have too long to dilly dally around."

Watching Kyo leap towards the church, "To the church it is I suppose."
