Mutants V.S. Humans - between Erika & evan..relic

Erika ate the food quickly, and drank the rootbeer at the same speed. Letting out a huge burp, she leans back in her chair, and stares at Ben. 'Daddy, I wanna do more tricks on more stuff.' She announced. Erika loved being active and showing off for Ben.

Ben was about half done the burger, the fries and the drink, 'That's why I said I should put you into gymnastics after you start going to school. You can do a lot more cool things, I'll even talk to the teacher on your behalf.'

Erika somehow launched herself across the table into Ben's lap. She hugged him, and squeeled. 'Thank you daddy.' The normal people were looking at them weird, wondering what was going on, for neither of their lips were moving. Erika obviously didn't notice.

Ben hugged Erika back, then he looked up at the staring people and tapped the side of his head, signing that Erika was a telepath.

They all nodded and went back to their meals, Ben thought to Erika, 'I'm your dad now, I'd do anything for you.'

Erika hugged him harder, and didn't let go. 'Do you like being my daddy?' She asked.

((Erika gets insecure sometimes.))

Ben hugged her tightly, 'I do like being your dad. Always will, will always.'

Ben gripped his arm and scratched at a spot, it burned like something else.

Erika noticed, and released her grip from him. She looked at his arm, and cocked her head. 'Daddy hurt?'

'No, it just itches, that's all.' Ben smiled.

Erika read his thoughts, and knew he was lying to protect her. She smiled anyways. 'I love you daddy.' She said, though her voice showed concern. She brushed her blue hair, out from her eyes, and looked at Ben with eyes of a loving child.

Somehow, Ben actually heard the thoughts that Erika didn't say, 'Erika, I'm not lying. The itch took me by surprise. And yes, I love you too.'

He gave her a rough hug, his trademark with her.

Erika shook her head, but said nothing. She jumped down from his lap, and started to pull him outside.


((change ben's character profile. make him a fire-telepath, or something that has to do with the mind. i'm allowing two powers to each character. erika's second power gets revealed later.))

'Hold on, Erika. i have to put the garbage away.' He thought to her as he picked up the tray with all the junk on it, and dumped it into the bins.

Then he followed her outside.

Erika skipped outside, and let the sun warm her. A slight breeze made her blue hair wave across her back. She smiled, and took Ben's hand. 'Daddy, play with me?' She asked, leading him to the park next to the restraunt.

'Why not? Let's play!'

Erika ran to the park, and started preforming her tricks, but they had doubled now that she had room to maneuver, and do them. She did somersaults, cartwheels, backflips, and hung upside down from the monkey bars. Erika did alot of things normal children couldn't do. She saw Ben, and swung off the bars, and collided into Ben.

He caught Erika as she collided with him, and pulled her off. He began to tickle her, 'Who's your daddy? Who's your daddy?'

Erika laughed, and giggled. She kicked, and screamed. 'You're my daddy.' She told him. She was having fun, that she didn't notice a strange glow in the palms of her hands.

((she now has strange circular white patches in the middle of her palms on each hand. this is where the "healing light" comes from.))

((Telepathy is now, time is later.))

Ben laughed as he could feel the itch coming back in the same spot, he gave himself a quick itch. Something was up, he could feel it.

((He doesn't notice either.))

Erika jumped out of Ben's arms, and landed infront of him. She looked at her hands, which were glowing and creating white circular patches in the middle of her palms on both hands. 'Daddy?' She asked, frightened.

Gripping Erika's wrists gently, he turned her hands so that her palms faced him, 'I don't know. Maybe we should go find Beast, he might know what this is.'

Erika nodded. She shook in his grasp.

Beast was walking down the street, and saw the pair. Hurrying over, he noticed Ben looking at Erika's hands. "Is she hurt?" He asked.

Erika looked at Beast, her eyes conveying fear. 'Daddy tell you.' Was all she said.

Beast nodded, and looked at Ben. "She ok?"

"I don't know. Her hands just started to glow." Without realizing it, Ben himself, said the exact same thing through his mind to Beast.

Beast covered his ears. "Ben, you are doing the exact same thing Erika did, when her powers awakened." He said.

Erika stood still. She didn't know what to do.

"What? No I'm not. I'm a bloody human." Again it happened.

Beast grabbed Ben by the shoulders. "Yes you are." He then thought the same thing he had just said out-loud.

Erika giggled. 'Daddy is like me.' She said.

Ben covered his ears, "Holy.... Overload...."

Just at that moment, the itch burned, literally giving off heat, but not burning him. The heat going straight through his jacket.

Erika cowered before Ben. She hated people yelling.

Beast snapped his hands back. "Ben, your burning up." He stated.

Erika looked at Ben, with concern. 'Daddy sick?'

'Sorry, Erika.'

"No, I'm not, Beast, I feel fine."

Beast shook his head. "Come with me. I think I have to run some tests on you."

Erika looked from Beast to Ben, confused. 'Daddy going to die?' She started to cry. She had just gotten her new daddy, and she was going to lose him so soon. She fell to her knees, upset.

Ben picked up Erika, oddly his hands did not burn her, it was only his arm.

"Umm... Beast? It's local to my arm, only."
