Mutants V.S. Humans - between Erika & evan..relic

Erika continued to laugh, until she started to cough, and gasp for air.

Ben stopped tickling, and brought Erika up into a gentle hug, 'I love you Erika.'

Erika hugged Ben back. 'I love you too daddy.' She said. She yawned, and snuggled closer to Ben.

Ben laid down with Erika on his chest, 'You want sleep here for the night?'

Erika yawned again, and snuggled closer into his chest. She quickly fell asleep.

Ben smiled as he ran his hand through her hair as he slowly fell asleep.

Erika started to squirm. Her mind ablaze.

She was in a forest, and it was spring. The sun was out, and the air smelled of rain. "Daddy." She asked a man beside her. He shook his head. "I am sorry." He said, as injected her with something in a needle. The world went dark. When she awoke she was alone, and cold. It was dark out and the animals were quiet. She began to cry. Then a black figure came out of the darkness towards her, she screamed.

Erika awoke screaming, and crying. Her heart beating a million miles an hour. Her body covered in cold sweat.

Ben woke, 'What's wrong, Eri?'

Erika cowered into Ben, tears streaming down her face. Her whole body shook. 'Daddy.' She said, before darkness took her once more.

Ben drifted back into sleep, but he slipped a tendril of his mind into Erika's mind: to keep her safe from anymore nightmares.

((TIMESKIP))

Erika groggily awoke, to a dark room, and someone under her. She screeched, and jumped off. Cowering in a corner, she shook. Her nightmare still vivid in her mind even though it had been hours since she had it, and had fallen asleep after it.

Ben reacted to the scream, instantly waking up, he clapped the lights on, he sat up, 'Erika! You okay?'

Naturally, Ben had seen her dream while connected to her mind.

He got up and picked Erika up. Going back to the bed, he cuddled Erika for a while.

Erika started to cry. She hid her face in his chest. Her body shook with each gut wrenching sob. Erika felt his arms around her, but the dream had been real as it had been the night she had been abandoned in the forest three years ago.

Ben ran his hand through Erika's hair, 'Calm down, calm down....'

He quickly ventured into her mind and sealed the memories of the dream, 'Erika, please calm down.'

Erika subsided into sniffles, and her body shook less. 'Daddy.' She said. She held tighter to him. 'Don't leave me.' She begged him. 'Not like him.'

He knew who she was talking about, that bastard who left her in the woods, 'Of course, I never will. No matter what.'

'If I ever find him, he will have a lot to answer for.'

Erika nodded. Her body stopped shaking, and the sniffles stopped.She nuzzled her cheek into his chest.

Ben hugged her tightly, 'Never, never, never will I ever leave you.' He continued to reassure her.

Erika nodded again. 'I love you daddy.' She said. 'My daddy mine.' She said.

'My Erika, mine.'

Erika heard the alarm clock go off, and she groaned. 'No school.' She said, begging.

Ben thought for a moment, 'I'll call Mirriam. No school.'

Erika cuddled closer into him. She felt pain in her face, and pulled away. Placing a hand on her face, she noticed her left eye was swollen. 'Me no escape hurt.' She said. Her left eye was black, blue, and purple, as well as swollen.

Ben put his hand over Erika's eye and accelerated the healing time, the bruise began to fade away.

Erika felt relief as the pain went away. The only thing that remained was a green tinge around her eye that marked the fight.

'Just have to let that thing heal naturally, now.'

Ben got up, 'You want cereal?'

Erika stayed in his arms. "Oatmeal." She said outloud. 'Please daddy.' She said through her mind.

Ben grinned, 'Thankfully, I can cook with only one hand.'

He walked into the kitchen, 'You want apple bits with your oatmeal?'

Erika licked her lips, and nodded her head. 'Syrup, and chocolate.' She said.

'So, apples, syrup and chocolate?' He said as he put the oats in to a pot.
