Mutants V.S. Humans - between Erika & evan..relic

'Eri. Please tell me. I can't do anything with you in your room.'

Erika stayed silent. The room where she was in, was also Ben's room too. She started to cry, as pain flashed on her left side. She placed a hand on it, and whimpered.


((apendix problem.))

Ben sensed her pain and went in, 'Eri? Pleas tell me what's wrong? I can feel your pain.'

Erika whimpered more, and covered her left side, where the pain was. 'It hurt.' She said, as she cried.

Ben, noticing where she held her side, asked, 'Is the pain near the bone there?' He pointed to her pelvis.

Erika cowere under him, but peeked her head out from under her blanket. She nodded, still holding her side.

((Ben cannot heal her.))

Ben stomped his foot on the ground and muttered a string of choice swear words.

'Erika. We're going to have to cancel the movie tonight and get you to the... dare I say it, hospital. I'm sure you have appendicitis.'

Erika continued to cry, and she screamed as fresh flash of pain went through her.

"That's it." He said aloud, "I'm getting you to the hospital." He quickly picked her up, and left the "house." But not without making sure he has some change. He had to make a phone call.

((For convenience sake, the Mutant City is fairly advanced, if not surpassing the Human's.))

Erika held Kitty tight to her. She screamed as Ben held her, and she rolled in on herself. The pain becoming unbearable for her.

Ben half-walked/half-ran into the waiting room of the hospital. He went straight to a bored-looking nurse, "Listen, I need to check in my daughter. I'm sure she has appendicitis."

She jumped to attention after recognizing Ben from some TV specials, "Right away, sir! Just need her health card."

Quickly fishing it out of his coat pocket, he handed it to the nurse, who quickly looked Erika over, "Yep, she ain't A-OK." She gave Ben the ID bracelet, "There. A doctor will be along in a minute. Thankfully there is one free. And I think you know him from that shrapnel incident."

"Yeah. I know who you're talkin' about." Ben shook his head as he sat down with Erika.

Erika curled up tighter, as she cried, trying to hold the pain. She screamed out and arched her back, as another bolt of pain went through her tiny body. 'Daddy, it hurt.' She screamed to him.

Ben gently hugged Erika, 'It'll all be fine. I promise upon buying you a triple scoop of triple chocolate ice cream.'

He hoped that the doctor would hurry.

Erika started to pant for air, and squeeze her eyes shut everytime a bolt of pain went through her.

((brb, shower.))

Ben looked up as he heard footsteps, it was the doctor, Doc Malone.

"Hey, Malone."

"Hey Ben. How's the leg doing?"

"Decent. But that's not the point, my daughter has appendicitis."

His eyebrow went up, 'Daughter?' He heard him think.

"Yes, daughter." Malone jumped a little, "Can you help?"

"Of course, especially for a friend. Come with me." Malone spun around and walked down the hall with Ben following close behind.

Erika heard Ben, and another male voice. She blacked out, trying to escape from the pain for awhile.

Ben looked down at Erika, "She's hit her pain tolerance."

Malone led him to an ultrasound room, "We'll check for the actual cause because there are other conditions that can cause this kind of pain."

"Alright."

Erika was still aware through her mind, but not her body. She poked at Ben's mind, to tell him she was ok. Her body had blacked out, but not her mind.

Ben smiled.

Malone noticed, "What's up?"

"She's fine, it's just her body that shut down." He said as he put Erika gently down on the table.

Erika giggled within her mind. 'I am still here daddy.' She said.

'I know you still are, Eri. We're just going to find the cause of the pain, then we can get rid of it.'

Erika felt something inside her, and she cringed within her mind. 'I can still feel it daddy.' She said, in a scared and sad voice.

'Don't worry, the pain will be gone soon.'

Malone picked up the paddles, "Just about ready."

Erika heard everything through Ben's mind, and cringed inside. 'What is he doing to me?' She asked.

'My friend is simply going to use sound waves to see inside of you, we will be able to see the problem from there.'

Erika whimpered, and her body suddenly jerked under the hands of the doctor.

'Erika, it's fine. Doc Malone is a dear friend of mine, he wouldn't dare harm you...'

Malone ran the paddles over Erika abdomen, while carefully watching the screen, "Nothing yet..." He muttered as he tweaked the frequency dial.

Erika's eyes flew open as she felt the paddles on her skin. She stayed silent, and held her body stiff, as the pain intensified with the pressure on her tummy.

Ben squeezed Erika's hand to let her know that he was still there.

'It's going to be fine.' He thought to her, 'I promise.'

Malone suddenly cheered, "Found it! You were right Benny. Appendicitis. Full blown. We need to get her down to ER quickly."

"Fine."

Erika panted for air, as pain ripped through her again. She squeezed her eyes shut, and screamed. "DADDY!" Was the last thing she said, as she fell totally unconcious from the pain.
