Mutants V.S. Humans - between Erika & evan..relic

Erika smiled. She giggled when Ben picked her up. 'Daddy, I love you.'

'Love you too.' He kissed her lightly on the head.

Erika hugged him. 'I don't wanna go to school.' She whined.

'You're going. Don't worry, I'll be there with you.'

Erika frowned, and wiggled out of his grasp. She dived under the bed, and hid under it, making sure she was out of arms reach of him. 'I don't wanna go.' She said, defiantly. 'You can't make me.'

Ben sighed, went to Erika's crib and retrieved her favourite toy, going back to the bed, he knelt down to look at Erika, he waved the toy out of her arm's reach, 'Me and your toy will be going too. Come on.'

Erika glared at Ben. 'What if the teacher doesn't let you stay, or let me have kitty with me?' She asked. She didn't want to go, and continued with her disobedience.

'I'll talk to the teacher, and give them a headache at the same time.'

Erika crawled closer to him, and grabbed Kitty. She then quickly made a move to retreat away from him.

'Got you!' He lashed out at the moment she went for Kitty, and grabbed her around the waist, he dragged her out, 'You're going, you'll be fine.'

Erika started to cry, and scream. 'I don't wanna go.' She kicked, and wiggled, trying to break his hold on her. 'School is evil. Humans are mean to me. They won't understand.' She stopped screaming, but continued to cry.

He held his ears from her screaming, 'No, there is a mutant school here. I looked into it, and enrolled you in it.'

Erika freed herself from his grasp, and jumped onto the bed. She glared at him. 'Mutant school?' Her anger started to fade, but it still hung around her.

Drawn by screaming Beast walked into Ben's room. "She is always like this in the morning." He walked over to Ben, and looked at Erika. "Listen to your father, little miss grumpy."

Erika glared at Beast. 'Two on one. Not fair.' She whined. 'Why do I have to go to school?' She sat on the bed, and held Kitty close.

Ben sighed, "Could have told me yesterday, Beast."

'Erika, you need to go to learn. I realize that you are smart, but school is necessary.'

Beast laughed. "Well, you didn't ask." He retorted. He then walked out of the room.

Erika frowned, and sighed. 'You win.' She said, defeated.

Ben laughed, he leaned over and tickled Erika.

Erika gave in, and laughed. She kicked, and giggled. 'Daddy?' She asked. 'I wanna mommy too.' She told him.

Shocked, Ben stopped tickling Erika, but picked her up and held her in his arms, 'We'll have to see about that.'

He already had his eye on someone.

Erika nodded. 'Ok, daddy.' She cuddled in close to him, as he held her.

Ben grinned as he started to tickle Erika again.

Erika leaped out of his arms, and landed on the bed. 'Daddy, you stink.' She said, pinching her nose between her index finger and thumb.

Ben smelled himself, 'You're right. I'll go get a shower while you get ready.'

Erika laughed. 'I got ready, while you laid on the bed, daddy.' She said, pointing to her clean dress.

Ben stuck out his tongue, 'One step ahead.' He shook his head as he went into the bathroom for his shower.

Erika stayed on the bed, holding Kitty. She waited patiently for Ben.

Ben came out of the bathroom, fully dressed but still toweling his hair, 'Dang hair holds water too long.'

He threw the towel into the bin, 'Anyways, I'm all clean now. Let's go. I wonder who your teacher'll be?'

He picked Erika up.

Erika clung onto Ben, not wanting to leave his arms. 'Daddy? Don't we need food?' She asked.

'This is only morning school. I'll take you to lunch after school is done.'

Erika nodded, and hugged Ben. She still held Kitty, in a death grip.

'You'll be fine. I'll be there with you. I wouldn't leave you.'

Ben walked out of the HQ and down the street, the school was a low-lying, brown brick building down the street.

'It's in there.' He pointed.
