Demon Guard - Jay and Bishop

This is a private roleplay between Bishop and I, Jay. Please do not post unless you are invited. Thanks.
- Story: The lands are dangerous, and in fear for his son, the King hires a faithful demon to protect the prince. Little does he know the demon's true intentions: infiltrate the castle and assassinate the prince. Though, it prooves to be a lot harder than he thought when he finds himself falling for the prince!

- "Though you are to be guarding the prince at all times, you will also have an hour on Castle Guard ettiquette everyday..." Takeru stood to attention and firm. Today was his first day as the Prince's new guard. Usually, guards and high knights were chosen from people in the barracks, who had grown up their whole life learning combat skills and castle ettiquette.
After a long lecture on what he was expected to do, the demon was finally lead to the Prince's quarters. He stood straight and proper, like he had been a Royal Guard for years, as the King knocked on the door three times before opening the door.
"Itachi, this is your new guard as of today," The king motioned towards the demon, before turning towards said demon, "I am counting on you to keep the prince safe."
"Yes, your majesty." Takeru bowed slightly, and the King took his leave. He turned to finally get a good look at the prince, his almost glowing red eyes scanning him over.

Itachi sat up on his bed, holding a small blue ball. He quietly replied to his father "yes..." He looked at his new guard and hid under his sheets

- Takeru walked forward, looking at the prince. He wore simple robes and had a very slender structure. His face didn't help, and if he hadn't been told he was protecting a prince, he would've thought that the boy was a girl. His timid attitude helped contribute to it, too. He was attractive-- wait, what? Takeru shook his head. He couldn't call someone he would be killing in a few short days attractive.
Speaking of which, how was he going to go about killing him? It didn't look like it would be too hard; the guy probably had no proper self-defense lessons, and no confidence, the way he spoke and hid from him. Might as well take it slow, and have a little fun.
"Allow me to properly introduce myself. I'm Takeru Yamino. It's a pleasure, Itachi-sama." He said, keeping up his formal front. Maybe in time the boy would come to know what kind of person he truly was. If he got the chance.

- Takeru raised an eyebrow at the prince. "That's what your father just said. Weren't you listening?"
He scooted a little closer, pulled down the covers a little, and got up into the prince's face. "You look kind of air headed. I hope you don't cause me too much trouble." He had dropped his formal attitude, and was now talking like himself. He was bold, obnoxious, and people always complained about him invading other peoples personal space.

Itachi sighed sadly as he replied "I don't care about him... I'm just a pretty doll he likes to show off..." Itachi got out of bed and went to the window.

- The demon stayed put where he was, but turned around on the bed to look over at the Prince. He raised an eyebrow. "Oh? And why would you say that?" Takeru asked. Not that he really cared; he was just curious. It could just be something stupid that the Prince just thought was horrible; he did have a life of Luxury after all.

"I cut my hand once... and all they said was 'I hope it doesn't leave a scar, we have a festival to attend'... the festival is just a party to show off how your children look" Itachi replied.

- Takeru scoffed and got up from the bed. He walked over to Itachi and leaned on the wall beside him.
"You know he's not the only person in the world," Why was he trying to make him feel better?
"He may think of you as a material item," What the hell was he saying?
"But their are plenty of other people around you who probably care for you," Why was he comforting him!? Stop!
"You just got to open your eyes and know where to look." He walked forward and brushed back the prince's bangs before placing a small kiss on his forehead. He realized what he was doing, and quickly drew back.
"Anyways, there is probably breakfast waiting for you downstairs. I'll escort you down when your done getting ready." He quickly left the room, closing the door behind him and standing just outside the door. What the hell had gotten into him, comforting him like that?

Itachi was speechless as his guard kissed him. He tried to dismiss the action, but as he got into his formal wear all he could think of was that tiny kiss.
He left the room and said "shall we go now?"

- Takeru nodded, bowing respectfully before leading the prince off. Though, he didn't really know his way around the castle that well yet, so he ended up following behind Itachi. He was back to his formal front; back straight, face emotionless, his eyes looking sharp; like he was ready for anyone who may jump out at any time. His hand rested on the hilt of the sword that was strapped to his side; he could use this very sword to kill the prince at any time. Just a matter of when...

As they entered the dining area The King stood up and said "Young Prince, your breakfast has just been set" Itachi bowed politly and said "thank you..." He sat at the oposite end of the long table from the King and Queen.

- Takeru stood behind the prince as he was taught to do. He had already eaten breakfast, and he didn't eat again until later in the day, to ensure he was with the prince at all times, except for the hour every day he had to study castle etiquette. He thought of the food that humans eat, and then the kind of food that he used to eat... he shook his head. Best not to think of it whilst in a room full of delicious food.
"Itachi, how is your new guard?" The king piped up from across the table, concern in his eye. Did he not fully trust him because he was a demon? Well, it was understandable.

- Takeru raised an unseen eyebrow at his remark. Good? Wasn't he just hiding from him underneath his covers earlier. He pushed the thought away and simply smiled, slightly amused.
The king looked at him and nodded, seemingly pleased. "Good." And he went back to his meal.

As Itachi finished He stood up and asked quietly "may I go out and see the garden?" The King waved his hand to dismiss the boy.
Itachi sighed and went to leave the room, heading for the garden.

- Takeru bowed to the King, taking his leave, and followed silently behind the prince. The boy looked a little down, but he could probably guess why.
The two made it to the garden, and the demon sighed. "What's so special about a garden...?" He mumbled to himself quietly. He cut down trees left and right; stupid little flowers seemed like such stupid things for humans to appreciate.

Itachi opened the door to the garden and took a deep breath as the fresh sent of roses filled the air. He walked in and went straight to his favorite blue rose patch. He had grown all sorts of roses, from red to blue. He turned to Takeru and asked "do you like flowers?"

- Takeru looked at all the flowers. There were so many. He frowned, the sun shining down on them, making them glow, as if mocking him. He turned to look away, and answered with a simple, "No."

"No? Is that a true answer, or are you just avoiding getting close to me because you're gonna kill me?" Itachi resumed caring for the flowers. He felt stupid for not noticing before. It wasn't the first time someone pretended to be a guard to kill him.

- Takeru narrowed his eyebrows, and grabbed Itachi. He pushed him down to the floor, got on top of him, and held his sword up to the prince's neck. He had done it all in one swift moment, so it was sure to have startled the prince.
"Saying it like that; are you begging for death?" The demon said, leaning in close to the prince's face. "I congratulate you on finding out so quickly, but it's no fun if you go along with it." Takeru's blade had cut into the prince's neck a little, just enough to draw a small line of blood. He leaned down and licked it up. Oh god, it was delicious.
"You don't have to worry about death. I'll stick around to play along as your loyal guard for just a bit longer."

- Takeru stared down at Itachi, the two of them silently started a staring contest. His red eyes bore into the dark ones of the other, that looked so wide and innocent compared to his own. His gaze trailed down his nose, his cheeks to rest on his lips. He leaned down, his lips just centimeter's away from the prince's.
"But for some reason..." He spoke out loud to himself, before leaning down to capture Itachi's lips, I wouldn't mind keeping you alive, if I got to do this everyday.

Itachi's eyes widened with surprise as Takeru took a kiss. He suddenly felt relaxed, he leaned a bit into the kiss and hoped to any god that would listen that this wasn't some messed up dream.
